Effective April 6, 2025
CreatorCam ("we," "our," or "the app") is a camera application for iOS that records simultaneous portrait and landscape video in a single session. We built CreatorCam with a privacy-first mindset: your recordings never leave your device unless you choose to share them.
This policy explains what data we access, what we collect, and how we handle it.
The following data is accessed and processed entirely on your device. We never see, upload, or store it on any server.
Camera & Microphone. CreatorCam requires access to your device's cameras and microphone to record video. All capture and processing happens locally using Apple's AVFoundation framework.
Photo Library. Finished recordings are saved directly to your Photo Library. We request write access solely for this purpose and do not read or scan your existing photos or videos.
Device Orientation. We read device orientation data to correctly tag video metadata. This data is not transmitted off-device.
App Preferences. Settings such as file format, countdown timer, and recording preferences are stored locally on your device and are not synced to any server.
Feedback submissions. If you choose to send feedback through the in-app feedback form, we collect the message text you write and transmit it to our backend service. We do not attach your name, email, Apple ID, or any device identifier to this submission unless you voluntarily include such information in your message.
Feedback data is stored on a secure, hosted database and is used solely to improve CreatorCam. We do not sell, share, or use feedback data for advertising.
CreatorCam may use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as app launches, feature usage frequency, and crash reports. This data helps us understand how the app is used and prioritize improvements.
Analytics data is processed by Google in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics. You may limit analytics collection through your device's system-level privacy settings.
Supabase — hosts the backend that stores feedback submissions. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in a secure PostgreSQL database. Supabase Privacy Policy
Firebase Analytics — provides anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting. Firebase Privacy Policy
We do not integrate any advertising SDKs, social media trackers, or data brokers.
Feedback submissions are retained for as long as needed to action and resolve the feedback, after which they may be deleted. Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Firebase's default retention policies (typically 14 months).
Since recordings and preferences are stored locally on your device, deleting the app removes all local data.
CreatorCam is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the feedback feature, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold. Because CreatorCam collects minimal data, most of your information never reaches us in the first place.
To exercise any data rights or request deletion of feedback you've submitted, contact us using the details below.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notice or on our website. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
